Jen McCurdy, LPC
My name is Jen, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of Lumen Wellness & Counseling. I’m honored you chose to meet me here.
I specialize in working in Reproductive and Maternal Mental Health, specifically Infertility and Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) for clients seeking support during infertility, pregnancy and postpartum. In addition to my expertise in maternal mental health, I am also passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community, individuals experiencing life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, parenting and relationships.
Prior to joining Lumen Wellness & Counseling, I founded a private practice, JM Wellness, LLC, where I counseled individuals, groups and families and created psychoeducational programs and group support. I have worked in mental health for 13 years. In 2012, I completed my Masters of Education in Counseling from the University of Missouri–St. Louis. Shortly before that, I completed a graduate certificate in Prenatal and Perinatal (Birth) Psychology from the Santa Barbara Graduate Institute (now The Chicago School). Counseling is my 2nd career, before I worked in the fields of art and healthcare marketing & design.
My mission is simple: Empowering you to THINK BIG, even when hope seems small. My whole heart is in this work. I firmly believe that right now, in this moment, you are exactly where you need to be. My job is to support your healing, while empowering you to live the life you most wish to live.
