I am thrilled to be a part of the team at Lumen Wellness and Counseling, a warm, welcoming, non-judgmental space offering holistic care to meet diverse member needs. Whether you are struggling with a relationship, having difficulty in your parenting journey, need help processing a past trauma, or thinking about making a career change, Lumen can help. 

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri and hold national counseling certification as well. I received my Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Missouri - St. Louis and my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Religion from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana. After initially coming to St. Louis to work with refugees at the Center for Survivors of Torture and War Trauma in 2005, I continued my work in educational equity and advocacy at St. Cecilia Academy in south St. Louis, supporting the multicultural needs of middle and high school students. 

My counseling passions include-

Couples and families of all types and constitutions: 

• Parents struggling with the developmental stages and/or neuro-divergence of their middle and high school children  
• Divorced/non-traditional couples trying to create a parenting plan that works for their unique family 
• Empty-nesters as they navigate the unique challenges (and joys!) of having adult children 

Women journeying through and struggling with: 

• Peri-menopause and menopause 
• Behavioral compulsions, such as nail biting, skin picking, and hair pulling  
• Balancing the expectations and duties that come with having a family and career  

Individuals grieving a complicated or ongoing loss: 

• Reproductive disorders and infertility 
• Caring for aging parents or a loved one who has become unexpectedly ill or impaired 
• Life throwing you a curve ball personally or professionally and things not turning out as planned
